Personal Statement

I specialize in the treatment of critically ill children. My goal is to ensure that all patients receive exceptional care by promoting evidence-based medicine, consistent communication, and the inclusion of a cohesive, multidisciplinary treatment team. I feel privileged to care for children and their families during this vulnerable time, and am dedicated to advocating for my patients.  

Biographical Info

Dr. George Ru is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

 Dr. Ru received his undergraduate degrees in the Biological Sciences (B.S.) and Spanish Language and Literature (B.A.) from the University of Maryland, and his medical degree (M.D.) from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his pediatric residency and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

 His research interests include quality improvement and implementation science, with a focus on team dynamics in pediatric resuscitations.
